Doe Maar (1978 - 1984 and 1999 - 2000) was a famous Dutch(-language) pop band with influences reaching from pop, ska, punk and reggae. They are without a doubt the most succesful band in the history of the Dutch pop music, looking at the success of their albums and singles. All four studio albums reached the number one position in the Netherlands and also five compilation albums reached the top of the charts. The most famous line-up is that consisting of Henny Vrienten (lead singer and bass), Ernst Jansz (keyboards and lead singer), Jan Hendriks (guitar and singer) and Jan Pijnenburg (drums and singer). In 1999 Doe Maar decided to come back for one final album and for their last 15 shows ever in the famous Ahoy hall (Rotterdam), which were all sold out.
